Here's what the player's found out about Felix before they left the base
The wall clears; and a person appears on it.
A male about 25 to 30. He's about 6' tall, has brown eyes, and brown hair.
The man speaks:
"I am Felix G. My real name no longer matters. I awoke as you did. I am from your time. This is what I have found out, You and I are on a small base (Well, I call it a base) in the asteroid belt. There is no way to be sure where exactly the base is till I leave."
"I have found no active sensors or communication equipment. The computer is quite "dumb". It claims it is the backup medicial computer. It does not know how or why, the main computer was broken or how to fix it. I call the computer "Jewel".
"I think, something could be going on... The computer claims a wake-up signal was sent from somewhere and it woke me up. From what is unclear. There seems to be a language barrier. Is the computer telling the truth? Who can say?"
"In case, anyone else wakes up here at this base, I left this message and will be leaving a log of what I find in the solar system, on Earth, if it is still here... That's all for now..."

Voice of Felix is heard: "Well, Here's some more info for ya.. There are 5 spacecraft in the "landing bay" Two are large shuttle like craft, the others small 10 man scout craft".
"The computer can activate the passive sensors for you. My guess is that we are in some shielded base. Hidden somewhere in an asteroid. With no active equipment, my guess is that this is a shelter of some kind. So far, There have been no reports of any energy sources, or transmissions.

Week One: I decided to have the "computer" start logging my personal thoughts. I awoke to a weird place... Nothing seems right. I last remember being in a hospital in Atlanta GA. Now, I am in a small group of rooms and what appears to be a hanger? There are 5 vessels in the hanger; Three small and the others large.
I found what appears to be a weapons locker. There are weapons, and what appears to be body armor. The computer does not have any information on the weapons. Again strange.
Notes on the Computer: The computer claims to be a Medicial Computer. It claims knows not know what is going on either. The computer, I now call Jewel says "The main computer is off line and appears to be damaged".
Week Two:
Jewel and I have been working together to see what's going on around this "base". There only seems to passive sensors and automatic power plant. I think, the base is in outer space, there are airlocks. But where are is here? Jewel still claims to know nothing except for medicial related subjects. She said an Order ** (not translated) was received and I was awaken from sleep. What kind of sleep it was, Jewel will not or can not explain. There seems to be gaps in the language abilities Jewel claims to have given me???
Week Three:
I have played with the main computers' database and found a few files. See file readme. The main computer seems to have been scrambled as in a EM pulse caused by a Nuclear weapon? I have asked Jewel to scan the base for radioactivity. Jewel says "The base has normal levels of radioactivity". Normal being cosmic background levels. There is no proof someone or something happened here in the past.
Week Four:
I have decided to take a "scout" ship out and look around. The controls seem simple enough. The ship systems check out, so the onboard computer claims. It will take me 2 weeks to learn what I can from the onboard computer to pilot the ship myself.
Week Six:
I have finished my training if you can call it that. I am taking a handgun, rifle, and a suit of armor. I am taking some extra power cells as well. That's what Jewel calls them. I still don't completely believe Jewel. I think, I lack proper level of clearance to get more information.
I have asked Jewel to listen for more logs and keep a record for anyone that awakes after me. Sherri claims there are more people, but needs to be authorizied to wake them up.
Week Eight:
Well, now I know where the base is. The base is located in the asteroid belt. It makes sense. If you want to hide some thing, hide it where people could spend years looking. I have detected no active messages, radar (if you can call it that), energy sources or the like. Harry (My onboard computer) says "Any cloaked base/ship would be passive and invisible to most sensors if not all".
Week Twelve:
I have decided not to planetfall anywhere yet. I am looking for signs of life or past signs of life for that matter. I have seen the remains of what appears to be a space craft. I swear the space craft was in a fight. I can find no bodies or remains on the scanner. I am going to continue my search. Location follows.
Week Twenty:
Well, that was a mistake, the base computer based on Europa is crazy. It tried to kidnap me. I just got away. I did get needed fuel and supplies and some computer disks(?). I am continuing my serach of the solar system. Someone has to be here [Felix's adventures with the mad computer are below].
Week Thirty Five or not??:
I have looked at most of the outer planets. I have found only shattered bases. Or Bases heavy protected by computers. One such base, contacted me and asked me if I was part of a repair crew it requested. I asked what was wrong and received a long list. I told the base, if I could find any parts off the list, I would give them in exchange for fuel and information. It agreed [More on this below].
Week Forty Six or not??:
Am in orbit of Earth. It is not looking good. Most if not all the planet has changed. A war must have been fought sometime in the past. The planet is off its axis?? There are plenty of ruins and areas of high radioactivity on the planet. Be careful, who knows what's down there now. There seems to be some small settlements (?) in the middle of nowhere. There are some energy sources on the planet. Some on land and some in the seas.
Sometime in Year 1:
--- seems to be alive! I think, -- mistake. Damn thing -- for me. I think --- military base! I seen whole -- farming the damn bots are ---- Ware, the bases and farms!
Sometime in Year 1 later:
The --- of ---- strange. Mutations are happened! Even the Plants ---. I hope you ----! Harry says --- you might not ----. I ----.
Sometime in Year 1 later:
I hope this gets ---. The atmosphere -- blocking --. It's amazing! I had Harry boost power, so you can get this. There are caches of arm-- and other i--- hidden here and there! I think, I have found, a clue to our past. The plague ---- I will send more ----.
Sometime in Year 1 or Year 2:
I was cut--- I had to have Harry ----. This is ---- the bastards, they did ---- us! Look --- the Omega --! I --- thats -- key... [Voice fades...]
Sometime Two Years before the players awoke: (~ 5 days ago after the Players had woken up)
*Loud Static* I am Alive! If you ----, send help! Coorid--- 129x2 by 238x--- Harry'-- damag-- cra--- *Loud Static*
There have been no more logs....
Sometime around the year 2575 or so...
Felix knew he was in trouble. Clearly, he was caught in a military type of complex.
The computer was, of course, mad.
"Figures... Shit.. I am always getting the short end of the stick.."
Computer Voice: "Give yourself up and you will not be hurt.."
Felix knew that was
a lie. The computer had tried to hurt him several times in the past few hours... As usual, the computer would try again as soon as he left the room. He looked around the room. There were plenty of computer terminals, screens, and a lot of equipment he could not identify. As long as he stayed he was safe. "Transfer complete".
Said the male mini-computer's voice. Felix felt better.
Now at least, he had what he came for. Data that would if he could ever figure it out, a way to get home.. Felix
thought about home. It seemed so far away and so long ago. Of
course, both were true. He was not in the same state or even in the same time for that matter.
His hand tightened on his weapon. He would get out somehow.
"Shit.."
He thought about how he had gotten here. He was just a nobody. He was living an regular life with a regular job. Then he had gotten sick. The Sleeping Sickness was what they had called it. A small, but growing number of people had come down with the disease. The date was 11/19/00.
He remembered feeling tired. It was getting worse. He remembered the doctors saying that the people infected would continue to sleep more and more. One day he fell asleep and did not wake for more than 500 years.
He thought about the room. The room he awoke in. It was all made of stainless steel. The floor, the ceiling, and the furniture. He did not see a door. He only saw the bed, a cabinet, and a single chair. He was so cold.
He got up with effort. He found a body suit and a credit card (?) in a drawer. He got dressed and looked for a way out. There was a TV screen on one wall. He played with that and got nowhere.
Part of the wall opened after he had carefully searched the room.
He stepped out into a very clean hallway. He went left and followed the hallway into a dead end. He turned back and went the other way. Everything was so clean and new. Nothing looked used at all..
He followed the hallway into a large open area. There were places to sit, and a food area?? He looked around slowly. Not being sure what to think. Then he saw her...
She was prefect. She had brown eyes, red hair, and a prefect body. She looked at him and smiled.
Woman: "Hello. How are you feeling?"
Felix: "How am I feeling? Like, I am dead. Where am I?"
Woman: "You are at *****. You are safe. "
The woman then showed Felix around. It was clear, she was not a master of English. He did not understand her all that well. But, at least he could now eat and had someone to talk to. He could not get her to explain where here was. It was not for a lack of trying. Clearly, she was a nurse or medic of some kind. She kept him well and fed. But, she was not always there. He was sure, she was some kind of hologram.
He called her Jewel. She seemed to like that...
He had found a keyboard like object in the room, he called the Commons. He had spent months trying to figure out the place. He was now sure that Jewel was a computer-like entity. The main computer for the lack of a better term was broken or destroyed. Felix guessed that something like an EMP or worse had shorted out the main computer.
Jewel said she had been asleep and awoken by Felix's awakening. She would not or could not say who sent awoke Felix. He was not so sure, if she knew and was not telling him or did she really not know? Maybe, she was damaged or worse, lying to him!
Felix during this time found what appeared to be a weapons locker and a hanger. In the hanger were five ships/vehicles. Three small and two rather large. He was able to board one of the smaller ships. He met the ship controlling computer that he called Harry [Note: Felix had tried and failed to get into the other ships. No reasons were given.].
Felix continued to learn what he could from Jewel and Harry. He trained with Harry in the off-chance, he would get to leave. That time was coming sooner than he thought.
Felix figured he had
been awake about one year. He had been looking for ways to leave. He did not pay attention to the "robots" that were seen cleaning up and caring for the base he was in. The robots seemed to appear and disappear. He was never sure where they came from.
Felix had gotten bored. He was alone and still not sure where he was. He had found some weapons and armor. While playing around he shoot a wall. The wall was not damaged that much, but repair robots came and fixed the damage. Then Felix ran into "Red1" as he called himself.
Red1: "What hell are you doing?"
Felix: "What? Where did you come from.."
Red1: "I can not have you shooting up the place..."
Felix: "I did not shoot up the place. I shot once.."
Red1: "Once too many times.."
Felix's weapons were
taken. He knew he was in trouble. But, he secretly hoped it might get him free of the base. Sure enough he was politely
but firmly told he could take Harry and go.. He packed what little gear he
had:
1 Suit of Armor
2 Pistols
1 Rifle
Plenty of ammo
Batteries ??
1 Battery Charger
1 Medical Kit
1 Survival Kit (Tent of some kind, clothes, supplies, a few weapons)
1 Glow Cube (It glowed when held)
He got into Harry (He called the Ship the same as the computer running it) and watched as he and Harry went into a large room. Then there was a bright and blinding light. When his vision cleared. He was in space!!
"Where are we?" Felix asked.
Harry: "Checking.... The solar system appears to be 'Sol'. Right number of planets, the star is the right size and age. There is no traffic that I can detect. Nothing. Using passive 'scanning'. No signs of life. We are in the Sol Asteroid belt."
"What planet is closest to our location?" Felix asked. At least, he seemed to be understanding Harry better than Jewel. Well that was something!
Harry: "Jupiter. There should be a number of 'bases' there."
Felix decided it was time to look around. "How long will it take to get there?"
Harry: "'5 days'. We need to 'move' slowly and watch for 'others'."
Felix: "What others?"
Harry: "The enemy of man. I have limited 'data' on them. It appears what I know, should have been erased. The men that 'flew' me to the 'place' were talking about some group called the 'others'. Just bits and pieces, saying they were going to attack and destroy everyone. They 'cleaned' me. I do not remember anymore.."
Felix: "Well, that's just great.. How long ago do you figure that was?"
Harry: "200 years or so. I will not trust my 'clocks' till I have more 'data'."
Felix: "Let's go to Jupiter.."
Harry: "Felix, I am picking up the remains of a ship. It's not human from what I can 'sense'."
Felix: "Well, can we get closer and take a look?"
Harry: "Yes, I still can not use 'all of my senses'. I can not take a chance we would be found and 'attacked'. We do not have many 'weapons'."
Felix: "I see.."
Harry arrives at a wreck in space. The remains were not pretty. There are signs of a battle and clearly this ship was the loser. Felix decides to move on and send infomation back to the base, he woke up at.. Jewel claimed he would be heard and information recorded for others that might wake up after him.
At Jupiter:
Felix looked out the window. "It looks like Jupiter to me" he said to himself. "Harry, any signs of bases?"
"'Looking..' I am picking up a faint 'signal'. Records show the signal to be from a 'Search' base. There is a stronger 'signal' coming from Pluto. Records show that to be a 'Small War' base. The Pluto base is asking for supplies..."
"Lets' look at the Search base. There might be something there. Any idea what the signal is saying from that base?" asked Felix.
"Just a general location.. It's very 'specific' type of message for humans. Limited range and power.." said Harry.
"Let's investigate then. We need more information."
They approached the location provided in the signal. It was the moon Europa?? At Felix thought it was.. After careful scanning on Harry's part, Harry found what looked to be the place to land. Felix did not see anything man made or odd. Harry claimed the signal said to land here.
They landed a moon-like environment. There was nothing to see but rocks and sand. Felix got on his armor and grabbed a weapon that Harry said would work in this environment. He left Harry and was walking in the direction Harry had directed. Felix had never thought he was going to ever go into space let alone walk on another world.
"Nothing yet.." "Wait. There is something in front of me. I can feel something but I can not see anything. Something.." Feeling around with his hands and dropping to the ground. "Something on the ground. A hole? A door?" Felix felt around.. There was a flash. And Felix looked up. "What th hell?? " breathed Felix....
Felix was blinded by the bright light. His hands went to his eyes to shield them from whatever the source was.
Felix was in a small room. It was similar to the base he had left. The room was all metal and showed no wear. Felix got to his feet and started to search the walls. He knew there would be a opening or a trigger that would open a wall. Well, that least he hoped so..
Or he was going to be trapped....
"Harry? Harry? Can you hear me?" Felix tried the comm unit in his suit. He doubted he would get through as these bases were shielded and not easily found.
He was going to have to get out on his own.
The wall parts. Felix
pulls out his gun and holds it at ready. There is a dim corridor outside the room. Felix steps out into the corridor
half expecting to see Red1 waiting for him.
"Search Base? What the hell is that?" Felix thinks. "Damn broken English."
Felix decides to go right and moves down the corridor. There are no openings, doors, signs, or markings. He goes for about 100 meters (or is it feet) and comes to an open area. There are signs that someone or something had been here. There are chairs and a few tables out of place.
He notices a food machine and tries it. It spits out the same weird food like material he had at the base. Felix notices that the food is not floating or boiling off as it come out. There looks to be air still in this new base.
"Well, at least I won't starve to death. That's a plus."
Felix keeps the armor on. He is not going to take any chances in an unknown place with no back up. With his hand tight on the pistol, Felix crosses the room to another corridor. The corridor deadends after a few meters. There was a soft hum and a light.
"Crap...."
Felix is in a small room just like the first one when he entered this base. "Elevator?" Felix thinks..
There is no where to go but forward. The good news is that there is a corridor leading to another large area. On both sides are openings. Felix looks in and sees shelves of items.
"Jackpot! Not that I will know what the stuff will do.. But, in a pinch, who cares!! "
Felix starts looking for signs of bots that he saw in the first base. At the same time, he is looking for a container of some kind. He knows that supplies and information are important to staying alive.
Felix found a backpack like object on a shelf. He stuffs what he can into the backpack and continues to search. He takes objects that he knows something about batteries, ammo, storage tapes?, glow cubes, medical supplies, and few new things:
1 club like object
2 rings
1 new pistol
5 orbs (gernades ???)
1 cloak (Protection or just for show?)
1 sled like object (Well, at least it will begood to carry stuff on!)
Felix spents some time with the new objects. He is careful enough not to fire anything weapon-like. He assumed the sled was some type of transportation device. He works with the sled finally getting it to float off the ground. There is a steering column in what looks to be the front. His efforts finally pay off. He can direct the sled in different directions. He loads up the sled with all of the items he has found.
Felix decides it would be best to stop for the day and get something to eat and try and get some rest. He has something to eat via food tubes. He then searches the area of signs of live and or bots. The area looks deserted with no signs of life or bot.
He figures out how to close the door of the room he is staying in. That way anything trying to get at him will have to come through the door. He sets the alarm for 6 hours and tries to get some sleep.
He awakes feeling somewhat better. He opens the door and looks around yet again. He decides to leave the sled where it is in case he runs into anyone who might think he is stealing the items he found. He knows not to take any chances.
Felix decides to pocket the club-like object and the new type of pistol he has found. "They might be useful..." he thinks. Felix takes a close look into the hallway and down the way he plans to go. He notices the lighting for the first time. It's softer and lower here.
"I wonder if there is a problem with the power?" Felix thinks.
Grabbing his pistol in hand, he turns into the hallway and starts moving. The hallways, ceiling, and floor looks all to similiar. Too new and unused. "What is this material?" he wonders. Going for about 100 meters, Felix comes to a T intersection. His choices are left, right, and back the way he came. He can't go back as there is no way back to Harry. "Right." he thinks.
Felix travels another 100 meters or so, and sees a large room ahead. He slowly moves toward the room and then stops when he sees shadows and movement! Clearly, he is not alone now. He drops to the floor and hugs the wall as best he can.
"At least, I am in protective armor" Felix muses. He knows there could be plenty of things that could get though the armor. He continues to move forward, looking for signs of what is ahead. He then sees machines floatings over the floor. The machines (he decides to call them bots) are moving crates, boxes, who-knows-what from place to place. There does not seem to be any order or pattern to where items are going.
Felix settles back, trying to decide what to do. He knows that he should look around. "Maybe, if I can watch for awhile and then look for patterns" he thinks. He thinks, he might be able to then move from section from section. There have been no signs that he has been noticed. "Maybe, they are not smart bots?" he wonders.
He sits and watches... The bots look a lot alike. They look like a mix of truck and heavy moving equipment. There is arms attached to a large bin. The arms have good motor skills moving then grabbing boxes/crates from the bin and putting them in stacks. All of the bots he has seen are floating off the floor. That is interesting in itself??
He decides to take a chance and start moving across the room. There are rows and rows of stacks. He decides he can duck and cover behind some of the stacks while looking for clues or items. He does notice that most of the bots would not been able to get into the room with all the items he found earlier. He knows there are more bots around.
Felix's first attempt to cross from the hallway to room was successful! He made it to a section of stacks. While watching for bots, he quickly looks over the crates. "Hopefully, there will be a map." he snickers. A map of the place would be very helpful indeed. The crates are locked? He can't get them open. Well, at least, not without breaking them. He decides to move on. Slowly and carefully, he moves from section to section crossing the room. He has yet to find anything of interest.
What he does notice is a place from where the bots seem to come and go. "Maybe that's a way out..." He thinks. "Or maybe it's just further into the rabbit hole!"
Felix moves to the closest point he can get to. He sees that there is another hallway/entrance way. The bots are moving cargo (for a lack of a better term) from there into the big room (Warehouse??) he is in. He waits for an opening and runs for it.
He runs into another hallway and almost hits a on-coming bot. He tries to get out of the way and clearly does not make it... He is knocked to the floor as the bot continues to move right over him! "Crap...." He thinks. Someone or something has to now be aware that he is here.
Hugging the wall, he moves away from the Warehouse and further down the hallway. He is looking for any doors, sensors, or maybe even cameras. "There has to be a way out..." He thinks to himself. He knows that his suit "radio" has not picked up anything. He continues to follow the endless stream of bots going to who-knows-where.
Felix starts looking at the walls, floor, and ceiling more carefully. Maybe there is a sign or markings of some nature. Felix does not find anything new or different. He is growing more and more concerned. "Will, I ever get out?"
Little does Felix know he is being watched every step of the way...
Unknown Female Voice (location unknown):
"Intruder is human. Intruder has proper ID. Intruder is moving toward CC. Intruder has not returned our calls or acknowledged our presence.
"Conclusion:
Intruder is a Sleeper and lacks the proper knowledge of protocols.
Contact
must be made on a more direct manner."
MC to security droid XDV-5: "Find intruder and escort to CC. Do not use force. Intruder is unaware of proper contact protocols."
XDV-5 to MC: "Orders acknowledged. Assistance will be required to comply."
MC to XDV-6 and XDV-8: "Assist XDV-5 in carrying out its' orders. Repeating: Do not use force. Intruder is not aware of proper contact procedures."
XDV-6 to MC: "Acknowledged." XDV-8 to MC: "Acknowledged."
Felix continuing down the corridor. He stops as he sees a new bot coming directly toward him. He turns and sees two similar bots coming up from the rear. The bots?? are black and are half-man half-machine like in nature. They are floating a meter or less off the floor. "I'm screwed...." Felix decides. He does not see a way to run or a place to hide.
XDV-5 to MC: "At intruder's location. Attemping contact.."
The black bot in front of Felix stops. It raises a hand and gestures toward Felix. The face of the bot is speaking? Felix kicks up the volume on the external speaker.
Bot: "Do you 'hear' me?
Episode 6:
Felix looks at the bot and backs up a step. "Yes, I can hear you..."
XDV-5 to MC: "Contact made. Contact is human. Human appears to be non-hostile."
XDV-5 to Felix: "Please come with me, you are expected in CC."
Felix thinking to himself: "Ok, Do I trust them or not??" "Ok, I will come with you.." to XDV-5. "What are you called?"
XDV-5: "I am 'called' XDV-5. I am a 'protect' bot. My function is to maintain order and keep intruders out. There has been little need for that lately.." XDV-5 turns and starts to slowly float the way he came. Felix starts following, noticing the other two bots are still behind him. After travelling through a large maze of corridors and rooms, the bot stops in what seems to be a lounge??
XDV-5: "Please wait here." Gesturing at the chairs, tables, and what not. Felix still notices that all three bots move off but remain in sight.
Felix paces around the room and looks around for clues or forgotten or lost objects. A woman rounds the corner and comes into the room. She's better looking than most of the women Felix ever knew. She reminds Felix of Jewel. Thinking to himself: "Hologram".
Felix rises and waits for her to come over. He bows slightly. "My name is Felix."
Woman: "According to your 'identification' you are called something else, but if you wish to be called Felix that is acceptable. My name is Mary Conners, not my full identification, but it will do..."
Mary: "How did you get here?"
Felix: "We received a signal and I came to look around.."
Mary: "How long have you been awake?" "About a year, maybe longer.." Felix quietly comments. Thinking has it been that long? "Have you encountered any humans or anything else?" Mary asks..
Felix: "No.. Nothing but one empty starship that might have been an alien origin. It had been in space for well over 100 years most likely more.. It appears from what little I have learned, I was meant to be awaken a long time ago..."
Mary: "Yes, we both have over slept. I have been 'up' for over 2 years. I have yet to be contacted or given more instructions. I have been working on *not understood* 'orders'. I know something of what you belonged to. It was called the 'Sleepers'. I was asked to help any 'Sleepers' I came across. I was told the 'Sleepers' would have their own 'instructions' but might be in need of assistance.. I will tell you what I know."
Mary: "90% of all installations are not 'awake' or are 'gone'. Currently, there is no contact with 'charge' I have been repairing 'damage' and 'loss', otherwise, I am 'looking' as best I can. I am trying to piece together a ship and start looking for other 'me'.
Felix: "Sleepers?? What or who are those? Do you know why I was choicen for this? Who did it? Why?"
Mary: "No, I do not. There is very little 'information' on the 'Sleepers'. All I was told was how to indentify them and to provide assistance. Do you know why you are here and what your 'task' is? You are human but of an 'older' time. You have been 'changed' to 'survive' in the now. You must be tired. Would you like to 'sleep'?"
MC: "Subject: Felix. Identity Sleeper confirmed. Possibility to use to achieve goals: 45% Look into manipulation option. Sleeper is unaware of his goals and or purpose.
Felix thought hard about what he had just heard. Clearly, he was not in Kansas anymore... "No, I am fine. I caught some sleep on the way here. Can you tell me anything else?"
Mary: "Well, I am to "look for" signs of "life" and catalog them. I can use active "looking" for these signs of "life". But, It would be most helpful, if I could have access to a ship. For reasons unknown, there were no ships left here.
Felix sighs. "I doubt you could use my ship, it would be too small has no ability to really protect itself. I am not even sure that I command the ship as the ship is alive. Why can you not just build a ship yourself?"
Mary: "I lack the plans for building one. I may lack the materials as well. With any size ship, I could fulfill my "mission". Would you be willing to talk to your ship for me? Maybe, I can use your ship to find my own ship.."
Felix: "I would be happy to ask.. But, I would need to get back to the ship as I can not contact it from here. At worse, I will be happy to look for parts and a ship for you..." Felix never being the trusting soul, starts to think more is going on here than what is being said...
Mary: "That is acceptable. Do you mind if the two bots that came with you go as well? They can relay messages and carry some supplies I can offer. I am aware that you found some spare items on the way here and you may have them as a gesture of good faith."
MC to XDV-6 and XDV-8: Accompany the sleeper, assist in carrying items to his ship. Survey ship and report. If possible, take control of ship without injuring sleeper or ship.
XDV-6 and XDV-8 to MC: "Orders acknowledged."
Mary: "The bots will escort you back to where you entered and you will be able to leave the base. Be sure, to pick up the items you found on the way out.. I will await your reply.
Felix follows the two very alien looking bots back the way he came. The bots assist him in picking up the items, he had found in the storage room? "So, Mary knew, I was here along..." Felix thinks. They make thier way back to the first room. He helps the bots load the equipment.
Felix closes his eyes knowing the flash will be coming. He wonders if Harry is alright? He wonders if he is doing the right thing? Should he trust Mary? If so, why? She had more to gain from him then he from her. Mary did not seem that friendly or was it perhaps too eager to help?
Felix feels the flash and knows he is on the surface of Europa? Felix calls Harry. "Harry, are you there?" Harry: "Yes, I am. I was worried that you would not come back." "I know, me too. As you can see, I have two friends.." Harry: "Switch to Channel C".
Harry: "Clearly, they are bots. Military bots that is for sure." Felix: "Can they hear us?" Harry: "Maybe. Be on your toes. I have a strange feeling..." Felix wondered the same thing. At least he had armor on, but could he hurt the bots if he had too?
Felix: "Bots, can you hear me?" after switching back to Channel A. XDV-6 and 8: "Yes". "The ship is coded to me. I will need to enter first and make the connection to the Ship's computer/bot". XDV-6 and 8: "We acknowledge your request". Felix thinks that might give him a chance. Surely, Harry have some weapons they could use. He knew he would not let them inside Harry.
Felix and the bots cover the distance between the base and Harry quickly. Harry has been silent since first contact, not giving anything away is he? Felix thinks. Felix knows that things could get nasty quickly. They come to a stop on the side of Harry where the hatch is located. Felix moves all the equipment close to the door. He still is hopeful that he can get the equipment at least.
Felix: "Bots, I am going to carry the items inside. It does not look like you will fit through this hatch?" XDV-6 and 8: "Correct. There is an another hatch on the side, you can open that and we can enter through it." Felix: "Roger that." Felix puts his hand to the hatch and it starts to open. He feels some relief when the bots don't attack. He starts quickly moving his newly found items into the inner hatch. He can get most of the small items inside, the sled stays with the bots who take it to the other side of the ship.
Felix opens the inner hatch and closes it. He leaves the items where they lay. The inner hatch closes and Felix opens his suit. "Harry, what's the story?"
Harry: "The story is that one called Mary is trying to 'invade'. The bots are not to be trusted. They are dangerous, but there may be a way." Felix thinks a way to what? There is a loud boom coming from the opposite hatch.
Harry: "Our guests are eager to gain access". Felix thinks well that makes things clear now.
"Suggestions?"
asks Felix. Can we shot them or something?" "No. We don't have range
or the time. They will damage me greatly before we killed them...

The side hatch opens and the two bots moving the sled enter Harry. The bots seem to then shutdown??
Felix: "What the hell is...."
"Felix, Get seated. We are leaving in a hurry. I will explain later." Felix barely gets seated before he is crushed by the thrust of the engines. "What the hell is going on?" Felix shouts. "Later!" says Harry. Knowing he has missed some battle between the bots and Harry, Felix wonders if they have won the war or just the battle?
Episode 9: The Race into Space
Felix is finally able to remove himself from the seat. They had been pushing quite a few gees to get away from the crazy computer running the the so called "Search base". Felix is happy to be safe yet again. But, he still has more questions than answers. Mary knew something. She had called him a Sleeper.
That it was tied to the disease he knew that he had. He moves back to the holding area and looks at the two bots with the sled. "Well, it was not a totally loss. We did get some equipment and two bots." Felix snorts. "Yes, we did.." comments Harry. "The equipment is worth a lot, the bots even more.. I should be able to reprogram them to obey our commands. The bots are of military nature. They will have weapons and defensive abilities that you can use when you enter the next base we find." Harry laughs.
The laughter
does not comfort Felix. He was nearly caught and who-knows-what
would
have happened to him. "Where to now, Harry?" Felix asks. Harry says "Perhaps,
Pluto.. The 'me' there was clearly looking for supplies and or information.
Maybe, we can talk him out of some of both. We need to know what is going
on.. We have to be better informed, if we are to stay alive. We need
to
find a supply 'base'. Mary had supplies, but I don't think we could gain
access unaware.."
Felix comments "Pluto then.. You are right.. We need to get more
information. Mary called me a Sleeper. Have you heard of that before"
Harry says "Yes, I have.. I have a few codes, I was given if you
or others like you were onboard, I could use. That is why we have those
bots..." Felix nods. "What is our eta to Pluto?" Harry
says "7 days. You can relax and get some sleep." Felix goes to get some sleep. He drifts off wondering if Pluto will
have the answers to what has happened to him??
Episode 10: On the way to Pluto
Felix wakes from a deep sleep. He was dreaming that he was home again, and about to get up to go to work. He wakes in his bunk. He's warm and comfortable. "Harry, Status?" Harry comments "We are on course to Pluto. You have been out for two days." Felix wonders "How are the new bots?" "The new bots are still being re-'done'. They should be ready by the time we get there. Should we call and play our respects to the 'me' of Pluto?" Felix thinks for a minute. "Why not? At least we might get an idea if it's crazy or not."
"Yes?" says a very dull voice. "What do you want?" Felix says "We are looking for information and supplies. Perhaps we can offer you something in trade for them? Voice says "Really? Well, I am not so sure. Quite a few 'me' and others have tried to trick me! I might have been in **** for long time, but I am not naive. Please identify yourself and ship. I do not detect any ship coming from the area that you are 'speaking' from. "My name is Felix. My ship is Harry. He can identify us for you."

"Well?" Felix asked. Harry says "He believes us. His list of items wanted is vast. He has been in "operation" for sometime. He is in need of most things. The good news is that he knows of a functioning base. It should have what he is looking for." Harry comments.
Peter: Butting into the conversation. " Call me, Peter. My real name is of no use to you. And yes, it does have what I am looking for. I can not get there myself. Remember what you promised. I have a lot of 'me'." End Trans.
Felix: "How far is the working base?" Harry says quickly "Three days travel from here. We can swing by it and take a look. It is on the way to Pluto. We will not be going out of our way. Of course we will need to plan and take a good look around before you go inside." smiles Harry. "Yeah, a good long and close look....." sighs Felix.
Episode 11: Just a quick stop on the way to Pluto
"We are going to the moon called Ariel orbiting Uranus." Harry says almost to himself. "Hmm. Peter's data shows most of the moon to be a supply depot." More to follow!
